Looking for an excellent gift for the foodie or cook in your life? Here are all of the things I can’t live without…
Here is a list of the best gifts for cooks and foodies.
1. Le Creuset Dutch Oven
This is an “If I was stuck on a deserted island and could bring one thing type of product.” Why do you ask? This dutch oven is so versatile and is built to last a lifetime. I use this dutch oven for everything from making soups to braising meat for hours in the oven. It is worth the splurge but if you are on a tight budget, no worries! This Lodge Dutch Oven will work just as well. I am personally just a bigger fan of the Le Creuset line.
2. Spiralizer
If you aren’t on the spiralizer train yet, you better get on it, because it’s moving! Improving your health has never been easier than swapping out noodles for zoodles. Or, how about some curly sweet potato fries for the kiddos? The possibilities are endless. I used this spiralizer a long time before I upgraded to a Kitchen Aid attachment. If you are new to spiralizing, this is a great place to start.
3. Nutri Bullet
This is what I use each morning to make my Bulletproof coffee. I don’t think using a hand frother is powerful enough to blend my coffee to my liking. Nutri Bullets are also fantastic for smoothies, protein shakes, and even making baby food! Although I love having a Vitamix, I feel bad using it just for a cup of coffee with MCT oil.
4. John Boos Cutting Board
Every cook and foodie needs a good quality cutting board. John Boos makes the best boards I have ever used. Not only are they beautiful, but they also won’t warp or stain like all the other wooden cutting boards I have used in the past. I own 4 of these.
5. Oxo Kitchen Scale
If you are remotely serious about accuracy in cooking and especially in baking, you need a kitchen scale. Measuring with measuring cups is not as accurate as weighing the ingredients to get your recipe to turn out the way it’s supposed to. Other benefits of having a kitchen scale include weighing your food (especially if you are tracking while doing Keto/Low carb), measuring meat to know the proper cooking times, and determining the exact amount of water, salt, and sugar you’ll need to brine turkeys and roasts. I’ve had this scale for years now and it’s still going strong.
6. Cole & Mason Salt and Pepper Grinder Set Gift Box
If you really want the wow factor of cool kitchen gifts for cooks, this salt & pepper set will do that. Not only will the modern and sleek design look fabulous on the counter ( I have the copper set), it has gourmet precision griding factors. It’s made from high-quality material and has three different grind settings. Not to mention, it has impressive reviews and is one of the best salt and pepper grinders on the market. This is the non-copper set.
7. All-Clad Crock Pot
This isn’t just a crockpot, it’s THE crockpot. Forget about the cheap $40 Crock-Pot brand that will need to be replaced in a year or may even start a kitchen fire (ok, have you seen This Is Us). Jokes aside, this is one of the best kitchen investments I’ve made. My favorite part about this product is the built-in removable ceramic pot. After the food is cooked, just remove it from the crock to cool and then transport it straight to the refrigerator. Easy-peasy
8. Lodge Pro-Grid Cast Iron Grill and Griddle Combo
This is a perfect gifts for cooks who love to grill, or loves smash burgers, pancakes, fajitas, chicken, anything. If you live in an area where it snows in the winter, you probably don’t grill out too much so this reversible griddle is the perfect grill. It goes straight on top of the stove. One said is grated and the other is flat. Best smash burgers, EVER.
9. Breville Espresso Machine
My husband bought this machine for me this past Christmas and I am OBSESSED. Makes the best espresso in minutes. It is so easy to use and I look forward to getting up each morning just to make myself a Cappucino.
10. Apron Cooking Guide-Full Length
I saw this apron and think it’s the coolest gifts for cooks ever! It has printed recipes and cooking guides right on it. So helpful!
11. Microplane Premium Zester and Grater
Small but powerful, this zester is used a lot in my kitchen. I use it to zest citrus fruit for baking, ginger for marinades and ethnic dishes, garlic, and even cheese! Altogether a great product and it’s not bulky, so it doesn’t take up much drawer space
12. ThermoPro Digital Thermometer
As a former health inspector, I am a stickler for taking the temperature of food to ensure the food is safe to eat. No one wants to give anyone food poisoning. (on accident at least)
13. Bodum Chambord French Press in Copper
Let’s face it, we are all busy these days. That’s why this is the perfect gifts for cooks. Coffee in 4 minutes, what could be better than that? Not to mention how fabulous this Copper French Press looks on the counter. (If your favorite coffee lover isn’t obsessed with copper as much as I am there are plenty of colors to choose from!)
14. Cuisinart Coffee Grinder
Since we are on the topic of coffee, grinding your beans fresh makes a big difference in how that cup of joe is going to taste. This one has excellent reviews and all the settings you need.
15. Cheese Board and knives
Every foodie and cook needs a cheese board. I love this one from Crate & Barel because it’s so versatile. If your recipient doesn’t like copper, this marble one is also gorgeous
16. Sous Vide
You are probably wondering, Sous what?? Well, think of it as a nice warm bath for your meat, fish, or veggies. For hours and hours. This ensures that the food is moist, juicy, and tender. Who wouldn’t want that?
17. All-Clad 8″ & 10″Non-Stick Pans
I love these fry pans because they are built to last and are nonstick. I use the smaller one a lot for eggs and pancakes and the bigger one for everything else. This set is a great deal
18. Phillips Air Fryer
I’ve been seeing these being used all over Instagram and I want one! You can fry anything in this thing. There are many brands out there, but I think Phillips makes the best. If you are on a budget, this one is a great alternative.
19. Instant Pot
I love the slow cooker, but this is like a slow cooker on steroids. You can use it to make rice, steam, sautee, and warm food. I’ve seen lots of recipes that call for using an instant pot. I mean, who doesn’t want to save hours making food? I know I don’t!
